Gli Hoodoo Doctors & the Kazoompet Machine ripercorrono la storia del blues ‘ante litteram’ e delle prime ‘Jug Band’, formazioni di musicisti attive soprattutto a Memphis e Chicago tra la fine degli anni ‘20 ed i primi anni '40, offrendo atmosfere rag-time, skiffle e boogie woogie. Il tutto è proposto suonando anche strumenti poco utilizzati o del tutto assenti nel blues elettrico dei giorni nostri.Il loro stile si immerge nelle frattaglie della musica nera e creola americana, precisamente nel jazz delle origini, nel dixieland e nel ragtime. Tra atmosfere di spettrali mangrovie, crocicchi, magia nera e danze da barrelhouse con gli Hoodoo Doctors & the Kazoompet machine sarà come sentirsi un pesce gatto nel Mississippi!
